What PI for media player

I know this is not a multimedia forum, but if anyone knows, I would appreciate it.

I would like to use a Raspberry PI as a media center (Kodi), but don't know what version I should get? Price is important!

Hi, I actually used all three versions for media players, and all worked perfectly fine. I only upgraded, because one got fried by a lightning, and a moved the second one to a different location. Even v1 played 720p smoothly, and only struggled with some very busy scenes on 1080p.

So, I would say go for the cheapest one you can get! Even RPI Zero would probably play most of the videos.

Yes, RPI Zero is good enough. You just need some adapters (HDMI, USB), and use OSMC instead of OpenElec. It's a bit lighter...
